REP NUGENT APPLAUDS SWIFT REPLACEMENT OF PASCO COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD:
“This mess needs to be cleaned up and that process starts with new management.”
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) –Following Governor Rick Scott’s replacement of the Pasco County Housing Authority Board, Rep. Rich Nugent(FL-05) issued the following statement.:
“Like most people, I was appalled to hear about the allegations of waste, fraud, and abuse at the Pasco County Housing Authority. I asked the Department of Housing and Urban Development to investigate the situation and determine what has been happening with federal housing funds. The investigation remains ongoing, but the replacement of the board was clearly appropriate given the evidence.
“Governor Scott recognized that the board needed to replaced swiftly and he set about finding replacements who have a strong record of community service and commitment to the area.”
