We've made a lot of progress over the last fifteen months in changing the conversation in Washington. The folks up there aren't talking anymore about how much to increase spending, they are talking about how much federal spending we need to cut. That is a big first step. But you know as well as I do that saying the right things doesn't mean getting the results. That's what 2012 is all about. We've got to work together to grow our majority in the House, to take back the Senate, and maybe most importantly, impose a change of management in the White House. Your willingness to be involved and to stay involved is what will make the difference in November and for that, Wendy and I cannot thank you enough. I mean that sincerely.

As tense as election season can get from time to time, it's also a time to celebrate American democracy in action. Our Founding Fathers risked everything so that we could have the freedom to choose our own futures. So on that note, join me for an all-American BBQ Cook Out. It ought to be a great show. The way I see it, we're headed into battle this November and we might as well do it on a full stomach.
